She attended as a guest performer and demonstrated her amazing skills on Abacus and Mental Calculation.

She completed all problems on the written exam within the time limit of 7 min, which include
35 (+/-) questions from 1 digit to 5 digits
15 (x) questions from 2 digits x 1 digit to 4 digits x 3 digits
15 (/) questions from 2 digits / 1 digit to 6 digits / 3 digits

20080127_01.jpgWritten Exam part of the contestWe had 31 students attending the contest, from beginner levels to the advanced. They all worked very hard for 7 min on the written examination.

20080127_12.jpgwith Honorary Consul General of Japan in San DiegoWe were very honored to have Dr. Inoue, Honorary Consul General of Japan in San Diego, as our special guest. In his opening speech, he interacted with abacus students, asking what Abacus means to them, how they relate to Abacus, etc. He also shared important views on Abacus in relation to human history and culture. He emphasized that Abacus's been the essential part of education in Asian countries, and not only it's been very effective and beneficial to human lives, but also it's contributed to cultural development and exchange amongst many countries. He also encouraged students to continue studying Abacus to enhance their academic skills and especially to become a bridge to the world of peace.
